What kind of content should I make?
Make content of every kind. Find out what you are good at, what you like, and what other people like. Then make that!
Make content of every kind
Right now you don't know what you are good at, and what people will like.
First produce a variety of content and receive feedback to find out.
So in the beginning, try every platform: X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, Medium, Threads, Etc., and on these platforms create a wide variety of content. Try every style, every mood, every technique, every topic.
Right now you are both finding out for yourself what
1) you like to make
2) what you are good at making and
3) what other people like to see.
You won't find the answer thinking and planning. You have to get your hands dirty, get started, receive feedback, and see later. So start now, doing it all!
So you've received positive feedback, now what?
Find out why that particular content worked.
Was it the language you spoke? The way you behaved? The content of the video? Is it humorous or just aesthetically pleasing? Analysis your own video.
Then repeat it. Keep the structure as similar to the original and see if the success is reproducible. If so, keep going. If not, go back to plan A - creating everything of every kind.
Another tip, stay diversified
Don't narrow yourself into a small corner and only make content of a very specific niche.
You can, for say, create 80% of your content about one specific niche, but then the other 20% you want to diversify. This allows you to reach new audiences and be able to branch off later, expanding your area of expertise.
Of course though, on the contrary, if you are too spread out you make appear to not be an expert in anything. So this is an intricate balance. Be careful.
