We spend more time putting off a task than it would take to just do it

Just take a moment to consider the time expenditure it takes to complete a task versus procrastinating it.

Let's say it takes 30 minutes to clean your room; however, you put it off for hours, playing on the phone, lying around, and occupying yourself with other tasks.

Nevertheless, the work remains there and still needs to be done.

So you finally get around to doing in it in the evening, but by then you've already wasted 3-4 hours. By then you could have already accomplished 6-8 tasks.

Realizing this may help us refrain from putting off tasks for too long and encourage us to get started right away.

So just do the task immediately, if possible.

TLDR

Just do the task now, it'll take less time than procrastination.
