Just Start, Stop Thinking About How To Do It

You won't know how to start or what is the best way to do things - that's important to realize. Accept this fact and start imperfection now, this is the way to accomplish great things.

I don't how to organize my website.

I don't know what to write about, if I should stick to a specific theme or not, or do something fancy like a series with episodes, all highly edited and curated. That would be great if possible, but it's this want for high quality content out of the box that is prevented me from writing and doing and creating in the first place! This is very bad.

So, I have a new strategy. Rather than trying to plan everything out meticulously for the future, I will instead dive blindly forward and trust that the dots will connect. I will forge on.

Here's a quote by Steve Jobs.

“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” -Steve Jobs

I find it incredibly wise and useful. It means that you may not see the path and how things are working out for you until you move forward. You have to first take risks and move forward in order to create points of achievement. In the future all these points will connect and create something magnificent. This is a good mindset to abate the curse of inaction and the fear of the future. Adopt it and try it out!

I know where I want to be, it's just that I don't know how to get there.

I have a rough destination of where I want to be. You could say it's on top of the mountain in the far distance.

But I'll never know the path until I start walking.

I just need to take that first step. And then another. And then another, over and over again, twisting and bending and meandering through dense forests and rocky outcrops and all sorts of uneven terrain and obstacles.

You have to set forth and explore and create your own path. And that cannot be done staying still!

This website is a place to build myself.

So, this website is nothing but an extension of myself. It is an attempt to record and document and discover. I wish to write down my thoughts so that I may better understand myself and the world. It'll be random, disorganized and chaotic - but that is okay, because that is me.

This is a personal playing field, a place to become more and to become who I want to be.

I can always come back and edit this later. What is important is that I finish it now, complete something, publish it. Start building, brick by brick. The first few bricks will be ugly and uneven, but eventually they will build an empire.

That's the mindset you need to have.
