I was just meditating and I had three realizations

Everything is happening within my mind, unobserved events are still transpiring, meditation is just objective observation.

  1. Everything that is happening in the world is happening within my mind. I was just meditating and I had about three realizations. The first realization is that everything that is happening in the world is happening within my mind, and it gives me a sense of power or control or understanding. It's a different kind of connection with reality, and I find that extremely interesting. So, for example, everything that is transpiring before my eyes is actually just happening within my mind. And when I think about that, it gives me a greater sense of confidence.
  2. Events that I am not witnessing are still transpiring in the universe. The second thing, perhaps, is the idea of how events that I am not witnessing are still transpiring in the universe. And if I think about that concept and expand my consciousness beyond just myself and just trying to envelop the entire universe, then in this case I feel much calmer, immediately feel much more at peace. And I feel like this concept connects back to the Stoic concept of viewing yourself as a minuscule dot in the grand scheme of the universe. And you find great solace in this mind trick.
  3. Meditation is not trying to find a blissful state. Yes, and then there is one more, which is meditation is not trying to find a blissful state, but rather it is just observing how things are, so good or bad. And this makes it a greater practice because even in situations where you might feel dismal or negative in some way, this is also a prime opportunity to practice mindfulness and realize its potential and power.

冥想不是在尋找幸福的狀態
