Day 28 - Consistency is the key to success

Transcript

Okay, this is the continuation of my audio journal. I don't feel like doing it tonight, but I'm going to keep doing it because I understand that consistency is what you need to do in order to achieve anything great in your life. And the reason that most of us don't achieve what we want to achieve. Is usually because of lack of consistency. So with my podcast, for example, you know, I kind of did it for on and off for like a month or two, and then I stopped.

So then now I'm getting back into it and. It's like anything else that I've done, you know? In sports or in my career or my other projects, like my website and things like that. I think as long as you just keep going at it and whenever you fail, you get back up and you keep going at it again. Kind of like that theme that you see often and anime, sorry. Any kind of story where basically the hero doesn't give up. I think you have to set that kind of mindset. In order for you to achieve what you want to achieve. Okay. Enough rambling. Now, what did I do today to further? And better my life. Okay.

Let's see. I kind of forgot what I did this morning. Oh, I went and I taught English for two hours. I made 3000 NTD, which is almost a hundred dollars. So. Okay. Got money in the bank. After that. I went to a casting. So this was for Levi jeans. Don't know if I got the job, but again, more practice. Uh, attending the castings and I think. I've learned a couple lessons.

One is you should be likable at the castings. Um, they seem to like me, so that's a good thing. Just be very charismatic. And then I'm slowly learning how to pose better. Definitely much improved than how I used to be. Um, I feel like I can move around quite fluently now. And. It's probably like already five X, how I was maybe some time ago.

And I'm quite proud of how far I've come as, you know, a model who's started quite late. Um, I only started modeling when I was in Taiwan. And had no formal instruction. And at the beginning, didn't even know any other model friends. So I had to learn everything on my own. Now of course. I would say, if you want to speed track your. Progress and modeling, make some model friends because just hanging out with them and seeing how they pose and how they move and how they act. Um, and even like the type of posts they post on their social media. Um, you will learn at like 20 X, the speed just by hanging out with them. Um, because it's like anything else, right?

Like if you want to get into weightlifting while you should have some weightlifting friends and you will learn so much faster, Then, if you were on your own. Same thing. If you language learning or entrepreneurship, like if you surround yourself by people who are starting their own business and you're starting your own business well, That kind of environment just fosters growth.

So. I would say, if you have any kind of goal. Um, try to find a group of people that already. Do that thing. And just enter in that group and you will learn so fast. Um, so I am, of course not to the exact point that I want to be, but I'm very happy and proud of my progress so far. And I think in just a few months time, it will be enough to. Uh, make good money.

And then after that, I will even be able to go to other countries. So. That is how my current situation stands. Now. I might have some problems with the visa and, and my contract, but that is something I'll have to return to later. Now after the casting, I went early to. My gymnastics training. So I went to a university, even though I have left my studies there. I am still occasionally going for gymnastics training.

I'm trying to learn front flip and backflip, and then. My coach also is helping me heal my wrist because my wrist has been basically. Out of action for a month now I fell on it really hard, um, doing box jumps. And it sprained and to the point where like, I can't do anything with it and it's been so long.

So now I'm trying to rehab it. And it's a very slow progress. Um, but. Yeah, I think things. Are coming together and it's making me realize. Um, leaving colleges, the right choice. I realize, okay, what is important to me? I also understand how I want to live and how I want to be happy and playful with the world.

I also understand how health and fitness are so important to me. Like I want to be able to not live such a stressful life, and I want to be able to sleep to my heart's content because I'm somebody who can't sleep very well. Now as for fitness. It's something that I really want to go deeper into. I've been kind of taking it kind of, uh, Lax. Last few years. And everyone has really like, it's just how things are. Um, and it's quite difficult to focus on. Um, I think these things though, they will come with maturity and also again, entering into that environment.

So if you want to learn gymnastics, so you want to learn par Cory surrounding salt by those people. So I'm starting to realize one of the keys to life is just people. And people skills. And being likable. And being able to enter into those groups. So, if you can master some of these basic skills, Like just be somebody who everyone wants to hang out with. Then this can open so many doors for you, whether you want to go into business or go into new sport or a new hobby. As long as you have somebody where they're like always wanting to invite you, then you are in a good position, tactically. Um, so after gymnastics, so I also saw a friend then. And yeah, it was an okay session.

Like it, wasn't very hard training physically, just practicing some technique. And just hanging out with some friends, speaking, some Chinese. And then I came home. Ate some food. And I, you know, I ate like five cookies and the chocolate cake, which is not good. Um, but yes, Um, today I also had like three protein drinks.

So I guess a bulking dirty walking, I guess. Um, But besides that I watched anime and now it's almost 12 o'clock. So I'm almost ready for bed. I'm very tired and still very sick. And tomorrow we will go to the Hotsprings, but I'm proud of myself for saying consistent and recording this podcast episode. I know.

Okay. Maybe I speak very fast or I don't know if it's an attaining, but I think it's also interesting for myself to record these types of events and also look back at the day and see if there's anything. Insightful. Um, That has changed the way that I think. And I think one of them is consistency. If I can say consistent with this and with the other things in my life, then I will be proud.

And then the other thing that I took away from today is being playful and happy. So I recorded a video of me just dancing on the street. Just listening to this Russian song. And I realize like how happy I am. Um, just moving about. It's from point a to point B, just dancing along the way, listening to music. And wow.

That's how I want to be all the time. You know? There's obviously there's a lot of philosophies out there. And ways of living and you get to kind of choose which one and everyone screams that this is the proper way. This is the way it should be, you know? And even some of them like that I used to agree with, and I still love, for example, like stoicism or something like this. I think it was great, but I really started thinking about dancing and music recently, like how, how beautiful it is and how you're just vibing.

And you don't think about anything else. No, I never actually had this much thought. Behind music before, but I started thinking about like the Indue gods and I was thinking about like, I don't know, like dancing while fighting things like this, this random thoughts kept popping up into my head about. Okay, what is it?

What is music to us and how, how it makes us feel and how music relates to the universe and just. I kept thinking about these things when I was walking on the street and it was an interesting thought process. So. I guess that is one of my insights from today. Yeah. Um, and the other insights. I don't think so.

Um, perhaps one is make more money. More tutoring jobs. Um, but yes, that is it from my day. I hope you are wonderful. I hope you have a lovely day today. And I will see you tomorrow. Bye-bye.
